A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

Creating a catch-all email mailbox will be pretty easy in case you’ve got a cloud website hosting plan with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-work-with Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you have set up displayed alphabetically and on the right side of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you if a specific mailbox gets all the email messages for a given domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you wish. In case there is activated email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will receive a warning note from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in your account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a tiny icon conveniently located directly next to each one. With only one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the context menu that will surface. In case any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
