If you wish to transfer a domain name from one company to another, you will have to go through several safety steps. One of them is obtaining a unique EPP authorization code from the current registrar company – on the condition that you are the registrant, since the code is emailed to the owner's email address and no one else can get it. You’ll have to give this code to the new registrar company, or else they will not be able to start the domain transfer procedure. The EPP authorization codes are case-sensitive and may contain numbers or special symbols such as dots or commas, which can be easily miswritten, so make sure you copy/paste the correct code. As an additional protection measure, the transfer authorization code for a domain may be altered regularly. Certain registrar companies call this code a domain password, an Auth key or a domain secret as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Website Hosting

If you have a cloud website hosting plans, you have registered a domain with us and you’d like to transfer it, you can get its EPP authorization code with no more than several clicks. When you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel and navigate to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domains that you’ve registered with us listed in alphabetical order. Next to each domain name, you’ll notice a mini EPP icon for all generic and country-code TLD extensions that require an EPP code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking the icon will email the EPP code to the domain name owner’s email address immediately. In the very same section you can also see and ultimately modify the email address, if the one there is not valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you’d like to transfer any domain that is registered under a semi-dedicated server account to another company, you can obtain its EPP transfer authorization code with a few clicks of the mouse from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. All registered domain names will be listed in a separate section of the Control Panel. Quick-access buttons will allow you to use separate features. To get the EPP transfer code, you only have to click on the EPP sign, which will be on the right-hand side of any domain whose extension supports transfers with a transfer authorization code. Our system will send the code to the domain owner’s email, which is currently listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record. If you wish, you can modify this email from the very same Control Panel section before requesting the EPP transfer authorization code. The change will propagate right away, so you do not have to wait for the new email to appear on WHOIS websites.
